To the Editor:

What is the buzz across the country? It’s Obama’s health care plan. Many people are asking: “What does it do?” and “Is it a good thing?” No, it is not.

 I agree that everyone needs health insurance, but it is not the government’s job to give it to us.

Everyone needs to provide for themselves. People who have the money for it may be able to get it, but they should not have to pay for those who can’t or won’t pay for it. If the rich and powerful pay for it all, then everyone else will become lazy.

But that is not the only reason it is a bad idea. People should not be forced to do anything, even if it is for their own good.

People are asking if they will have to give up the health coverage they already have for this new plan. No one knows for sure, but it is a possibility.

Many people are becoming very worried that they will pass the bill, and they should be. It is said that people in Congress have started to warm up to the idea of this plan.

If it passes, what will be said by other countries about how our president governs in our country? What will it tell people about the rights we are supposed to have? Will it change the minds of people who were considering moving to this country? It could. That is another reason why we don’t want Obama’s health care plan to pass.
