Gateway is proud to announce that we are one of 4,000 schools across the country to be awarded the “We the People” Bookshelf Collection from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
This last week of school was filled with fun activities, including Hats On Day (to raise money for Cancer Awareness for children), Field Days, Level Festivals, Pet Day, classroom parties, and the distribution of our yearbook.
Our last day of school is today. We hope everyone has a very safe and very fun summer break!

Enoch having final awards assembly
Our first ever school-wide art show was a huge success. Parents came in droves to buy their student’s artwork. The turnout was incredible.
We now have a nice art fund to buy needed supplies. We realize we can do a few things better for next time, and we appreciate the support.
May 25 was proclaimed Enoch Elementary day, and we had a big celebration carnival. This was also the culmination activity for our reading incentive program. Our final awards assembly will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. Seating is very limited, and parents are welcome to attend.
School will be excused at 2:30 on Friday.
Goodbye to Mrs. Lucy Venables. Enjoy your retirement. You deserve it!
We have had a wonderful year at Enoch Elementary. Students, we will miss you. Have a safe summer. See you next August!

Talented CVMS kids perform, display art
Congratulations to Mr. Steve Matheson who is retiring after 36 years of service to students and staff as the CVMS Media Coordinator. We wish him well and will truly miss him!
Mr. Wade Arave and Mrs. Lauralyn Anderson did a great job as the advisors of our performing arts class and their rendition of “Dear Edwina.” It was a hit!
The art department had their annual Art Show on May 18. Art students proudly displayed some of their finished work for everyone to enjoy. We have very talented students.
Two of those art students recently placed in the Utah Labor Commission Safety Poster contest. Aubrey Spencer was a semi-finalist and received $50. Laura Clark was a finalist Honorable Mention winner and received $200. Our art Teacher, Cindy Bettridge, will receive $500 for the art department.
We want to congratulate all the music department students and their teachers for their successful closing concerts last week. They were outstanding!

The CMS Student Council and GYC Presidency worked hard this year to organize many assemblies, activities and fundraisers. They enjoyed a trip to Fiesta Fun for their year-end trip. Thanks for all your hard work.
The play “Guys and Dolls Jr.” was performed for the school/public and was a huge success thanks to Mrs. Megan Nelson and her talented students.

CVHS PTSA expresses thanks for support
CVHS PTSA expresses thanks to the parents, students, teachers, and extended community for the outstanding support that has been shown to us this year.
Donations of time, resources, money, and experience have been abundant throughout the year. Our school has greatly benefited from the outpourings of these donations. Together, we have seen great success in the many events that have taken place this year.
As the school year closes, there are a few events still to occur. Graduation, of course, tops the list. A hearty congratulations to our graduating seniors! We wish our graduates success and happiness in their future endeavors.
The traditional Grad Night celebration will be an “Extreme Adventure,” with games, food, prizes, socializing and lots of fun. Tickets can be purchased in the office for $45 before the celebration or for $50 at the door.
The Grad Night committee has worked tirelessly to plan this night and it promises to be an amazing event. Thanks to Melanie Melling and her committee for taking on this enormous task!
Finally, a special thanks to the PTSA board for all that has been done this year. Much of the work is “behind the scenes,” but brings great rewards not only to the recipients of the service, but also to those who do the work itself. Thank you!
